VLITEX fire limitation blanket PREMIUM
We have developed the VLITEX PREMIUM car fire blanket for use on lithium-ion fires. The fabric made of special glass fibers withstands the high temperatures of battery fires. As fire limitation blanket it is used in the event of a fire, but also as a preventative measure. If the battery ignites, the flames and heat remain under the blanket and the battery can burn down in a controlled manner. The blanket can be used several times (depending on the fire load). We offer different sizes, some with additional longer handles.
The VLITEX fire limitation blanket PREMIUM meets the test requirements of DIN SPEC 91489 (requirements for fire protection blankets for use in electric vehicles). You can find out more about DIN SPEC 91489 in our blog post.
Description
Bringing e-vehicle fires quickly under control
The VLITEX PREMIUM fire blanket is our specially developed fire blanket for battery fires. fire limitation blanket. Preventively, it is placed over an accidental e-vehicle to protect the surrounding area in case of fire. Used as a fire blanket, it reliably and quickly smothers conventional fires. It keeps an e-fire under blanket and thus minimizes the damage to the surroundings. Conventional extinguishing agents such as water or foam are not required and therefore do not get into the environment. The special glass fiber fabric with the particularly dense silicone coating can withstand temperatures of up to 1,000°C for long periods of time, and even 1,750°C at peak temperatures. A battery fire, which requires no added oxygen and therefore cannot be smothered, burns out in a controlled manner under the blanket. Another advantage of fire limitation blanket is that the toxic smoke development is very quickly contained.
The PREMIUM fire blanket is suitable for anyone who regularly has to deal with fires. Depending on the fire load, it can be used several times.
